Antique Carnelian Slim Oval Beads VB_0886
A strand of red oval carnelian beads from the African trade. Their slim clean lines possibly indicate that they were made at the Idar-Oberstein factory in Germany, but they also may be of Indian manufacture.
Beads range from approximately 30mm - 35mm x 6mm - 10mm, 2mm hole. Strand is 22 inches without raffia with 15 beads. Weighing 73 grams per strand.
These beads are in good antique condition. They have traveled far and wide, and some wear such as nicks, scratches, and chips are expected.
Some beads have chipped ends. Please examine the photos for details.
