Vintage Idar-Oberstein Agate Bicone Beads Strand

This Vintage African Trade Idar Oberstein Agate Strand was traded in Nigeria. The beads were cut in Idar-Oberstein, Germany. They date back to mid to the end of the 19th century.

The beads are generally in good condition, although some show age-appropriate nicks at chips the edges.

There are several strands available. The strands are all very similar, and a few representative examples are shown in the photos. You can choose a specific strand from the drop-down menu at checkout, or just indicate the number of random strands you want and we will pick the best of those available.

Each strand is approximately 26" long and has about 24-26 beads on each. Graduated bicone faceted beads range 17-35 mm in length and 8-12mm in diameter.
