On offer are blue ancient glass beads sourced in Mali. Excavated in the areas of D'Jenne and Gao, these beads are stunning in their beauty. They are dated to the Islamic Period, between the 8th and 12th century AD.
Strand B: Eleven blue beads 8.5-14.5mm graduated beads
The beads are ancient and are somewhat irregular in shape. Every bead is unique. They are in good to fair ancient condition, some showing chips, nicks, and minor cracks that do not impact the integrity of the beads. A few beads have eyes, but most are without eyes. Some eyes show substantial wear appropriate for the age. Please see the photos for details.
