Vintage Ebony Tasbih Prayer Beads from Mauritania 0868M-P
These beautiful well-worn Tasbih (prayer beads) are original items from Mauritania. Their exact age is unclear, but they are likely about 100 years old. Mostly made of ebony wood with traces of silver inlay, with an occasional glass trade bead, agate, and lead beads, these venerable beads almost make you feel the desert sand they come from. . They started their life as prayer beads imitating black coral prayer beads, and have long become a highly desirable cost-effective alternative to black coral in jewelry design. Also collectible.
